Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Daily Hadith mobile application (the "Application", "App", or "Service") developed and operated by Neat Inc. ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use or access the Application.

1. Description and Scope of Service

Daily Hadith is a mobile application designed for personal, educational, and spiritual engagement, offering daily Hadith readings, reflections, habit-tracking tools, and related on-device utilities.

  • License Grant: Neat Inc. grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes on supported devices.
  • Local-First Architecture: The Application operates primarily on an offline-first basis. Your notes, bookmarks, preferences, and progress records are maintained exclusively on your local device.

2. Religious Content and Informational Disclaimer

  • Canonical Sourcing: Hadith texts, chapter arrangements, and historical metadata presented within the Application are curated from widely recognized and authentic classical collections.
  • Translations: Translations in English, Urdu, and other languages are provided for informational and educational assistance. Translations inherently reflect linguistic interpretations and should not be considered replacements for the original classical Arabic scripture.
  • No Legal or Religious Rulings (Fatwa): The Application is intended solely as an educational and personal habit-building resource. Content within the App does not constitute personalized Islamic legal rulings (fatawa). Users requiring authoritative legal determinations or specialized religious guidance should consult qualified Islamic scholars and authorized institutions.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Proprietary Rights: The Application design, software codebase, visual branding, user interface, icons, and original assets are the exclusive intellectual property of Neat Inc. and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
  • Public Heritage: Canonical Hadith texts, traditional matn (content), and classical isnad (chains of narration) represent the universal spiritual heritage of the global Islamic community.

4. Connectivity and External Content

The Application retrieves textual content via secure remote content delivery networks. While we make every reasonable effort to maintain content availability and data integrity, we do not warrant that remote servers will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perpetually available.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Neat Inc., its officers, directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including, without limitation, loss of data, device malfunction, or personal interpretations of religious texts—arising out of or related to:

  1. Your use of, or inability to use, the Application;
  2. Any typographical, translation, or indexing discrepancies within the content;
  3. Loss of locally stored notes, streaks, or favorites resulting from device failure, storage clearing, or uninstallation.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Neat Inc. expressly disclaims all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Neat Inc. operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to amend or replace these Terms at our sole discretion at any time. Material updates will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Application following any revisions constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
